Repurposing Everest DAO — A New Chapter

Introduction

Everest DAO was first announced to the public on the 16th of June. We had a goal in mind, making it possible for Users to arrange in a decentralized way, aggregate knowledge and power together without relying on a centralized factor, and thus making Governance decisions truly sourced from users to users.

After the announcement, a lot of positive feedback from the community was received. We contacted more Avalanche developers and started meeting Project founders to make Everest DAO the best possible version it could be. So we continued to build, research, and gathering general knowledge related to Defi & DAOs. Through that, we realized the vast gap of missing products and projects currently on Avalanche.

Increasing Use cases

Even though Avalanche is the most decentralized and one of the top smart contracts platforms currently available, most investors and developers have not fully realized this, with many overlooking or disregarding Avalanche without deeper thought.

This is why Everest DAO will increase and improve upon use cases and products on a broader level, filling the current development gap and taking Avalanche to the next level.

Enhancing Defi On Avalanche

One of the most underresearched areas on Avalanche is DeFi. Although we are the best at creating farms and auto-compounding them, currently available products usually don’t go beyond that. Synthetic Tokens, Index Tokens, Leveraged Farming, Leveraged Trading, and Custom Options are just a few of the fantastic Dapps that can be built today, but are currently either still being developed or not available at all.

Essentially, our goal is to create good DeFi products that Avalanche has a high demand for, but users still don’t have access to.

New Plans for the DAO

What we said so far contemplated only new use cases and products. However, Governance isn’t going to be put down. Instead, it will be reinvented to be more inclusive and helpful for Everest DAO and the Avalanche Ecosystem, actively providing resources for users to connect financially and for decisions.
